Chiara Martignano, Antonio Calvia and Michele Epifani will speak at the ninth edition of the Music Encoding Conference (Alicante, 19-22 luglio 2021)

Chiara Martignano, Antonio Calvia and Michele Epifani will participate in videoconference in the ninth edition of the Music Encoding Conference organised by MEI (Music Encoding Initiative), which will be held from July 19 to July 22 at the University of Alicante. The three members of the ArsNova team will present a paper entitled: “Tools and Perspectives for a Digital Critical Edition of Fourteenth-Century Polyphonic Music”, in which they will illustrate the scheduled workflow for the peparation of the critical editions of the musical texts, the specific tools developed within the project  (the ANTCollator and the ANTViewer) and the problems that have emerged on a musicological level through the use of the MEI encoding and of the software Verovio for Web music notation engraving.
